The Home-Start in Suffolk Corporate Sports Day is back for 2024 and offers local businesses a great afternoon of fun and team-building activities whilst raising awareness and supporting a great local charity. Home-Start in Suffolk support families across all communities in the county, guiding them through challenging and complex circumstances. Starting in the home, our approach is as individual as the people we’re helping. There’s no judgement; it is just compassionate, confidential help with professional support and advice. Fundraising events such as the Suffolk Sports Day are a great opportunity for us to raise much-needed funds that go directly back to support local families when they need it most.

The Suffolk Sports Day will be taking place at Trinity Park in Ipswich on Thursday 12th September, and this year’s event will see a welcome return of the traditional sports day races including a 3-legged race, egg & spoon race, sack race and team relay race. Last year these highly contested races definitely got the afternoon off to a great start and set the competitive tone for the afternoon.

Our Sports Day will include some individual activities such as Netball, Football and Golf skills. One of our key event sponsors, Abbeycroft, will be bringing their climbing wall, as well as providing archery and axe throwing. David Lloyd will also be returning for a second year with some fun sporting challenges.

For those participants not as keen on the physical activities, we also have a team challenge that may test the mind more than the body!

The afternoon’s fun activities will conclude with a BBQ and prize-winning presentation, where participants and our event sponsors will get an opportunity to network and enjoy some time socialising.

Local businesses can enter teams of up to 10 people (minimum 6). The cost to take part is £600 per team and includes a branded team T-shirt, BBQ and refreshments for all team members.
